The process of recording or tracking as it is known in the industry can be a hugely intimidating and stressful process, but with the right engineer and producer at the helm it can be a hugely rewarding and enjoyable process.
At Warm Tide we provide a relaxed yet productive atmosphere and because we don't mix with the band in a tense studio environment (decreasing overheads by mixing for shorter more objective periods and going away and analyzing what was done), this way we can take the time needed to create the best possible product without needing to "watch the clock". We also analyse your needs to provide the right recording environment for you.

Warm Tide's recording services are most often combined with our mixing and mastering services to provide a finished "release worthy" product.
Why record with Warm Tide when home recording equipment is so cheap now?
The key to producing a good clean recording is getting mic placement, mic choice and room conditions right at source. The key is is not in tens of thousands of pounds worth of equipment (although obviously that does help). So in other words you pay for the expertise of the engineers that you are working with and the room you are recording in. A well trained efficient engineer would most probably make a three-miked drum kit sound better than a drum kit miked eight times by a novice. Also, having a well treated acoustically designed room will eliminate most of the need for drastic EQ to make any instrument sound natural allowing you to move more quickly and get more done. Having a well recorded track also makes the mixing process far easier and will always achieve a better result.
What benefits come from a Warm Tide recording?
Most of the reason artists are trying to record their own music in the digital age is due to the huge studio costs involved to perfect their material in the studio and most bands simply cannot afford it. Here is where Warm Tide steps in. We are here to allow you to take the time over your recording and still not pay over the odds.
Warm Tide also mix outside of the tracking studio environment without the band being present during this arduous process calling them in for the more objective automation/effects period of the mix. These is also a FREE call back session to fine tune the mixes.
Tip: Most artists try to record too much in their recording session often scrimping on the mixing and mastering which are both very integral parts of the record production process. Here at Warm Tide the cost of the mixing and mastering allows you to take the time you need to allow the best quality product. Warm Tide will advise you about how much time you are roughly going to need to complete your tracks.
What is your pricing structure?
At Warm Tide we offer three types of recording sessions: Daily, Night and Weekend rates.
Below is a breakdown of the cost of each session:

What do I need to do to book a recording session with Warm Tide?
Simply fill in this quote form or e-mail enquiries@warmtide.co.uk titled "Quotation request". Alternatively you can call Pete Dowsett on 075400 67375. We will reply as soon as possible with our quote, including the approximate timescale and estimated total cost of the service. If you decide to go ahead with the service, we will invoice you for the estimated total cost of the service. You will then need to pay a deposit specified by Warm Tide via PayPal or post if preferred. This is usually £50 per recording studio day needed.
